A character's vocation, or class, is the role they use in combat that determines their stats, usable equipment, spells, and skills. At level 20, after the completion of Quest 34, characters can freely change vocations by talking to the specialized priest found in taverns.

There are standard vocations that the player can freely choose from at the start of the game during the online character creation, as well as unlockable vocations that feature additional weapons and skills.

At level 30, and then every five levels from then on until 50, each vocation has a series of quests to earn iconic armor related to the profession, as well as earning their Coups de Grâce.

Initial Vocations[]

These are the initial classes chosen at the start of the online game.

Warrior

An all-around frontlines fighter with high HP, strength, and resilience.

Priest

A healer that supports the party with curative and defensive magic.

Mage

A destructive spellcaster that specializes in offensive magic.

Martial Artist

An agile fighter that hits hard and fast.

Thief

A sneaky vocation that specializes in stealing items.

Minstrel

These classes can be unlocked through quests obtained around the world. They are not necessarily better or more advanced than the starting classes, but they allow for new skills, niches, or wider ranges of roles that can complement the initial classes.

Ranger

A combat-specialist that can snipe from afar, or get close and dirty.
